ETSCO manufactured SCR Drive

Electronic Technical Services designs and manufactures a wide range of SCR Drives, primarily for the drilling industry.  These drives are built to last because components are carefully selected to endure the extensive demands of drilling rig applications.

The SCR Drive is constructed with our customers in mind, and quality remains our number one goal.  We produce drives that are user friendly, and our fail-safe system can get customers through many strenuous situations.

The DC Control Module is the foundation of the SCR Drive System.  The basic operation of the module is to reduce complex electronic control and protection circuitry to a small, compact unit capable of automatic control of the SCR Bridge.  The module includes independent current limits for drawworks, mud pump, top drive and rotary table motors to allow maximum operating torque to be developed when required.  All current limits are set to meet the customer's specific need and may never require field service.  It also provides a continuous variable rotary table or current limit to permit adjustment of the available torque to the specific and safe required level.
